A kick start to May

Tuesday 5th May

May kicked off with a reminder that moving forward doesn’t always mean going hard.

Saturday started gently with a short recovery walk as my little dog continues to heal from surgery — slow, steady and much appreciated. Later that evening, getting back on the bike for a spin session felt like a real reset, logging a solid distance and clearing the head.

On Sunday we joined our cani‑x group for a relaxed walk around Sefton Park. Good people, good dogs and fresh air — simple, but exactly what was needed.

The bank holiday on Monday gave space for balance: an early spin, then a long walk around Croxteth Hall grounds, making the most of the extra day and the improving weather.

Looking ahead, the focus for the rest of May is on finding windows for longer dog walks and bike rides where I can. We’ve got several cani‑x runs booked, and next weekend we’ll be heading to Whinlatter Forest near Keswick — trails, hills and woodland to look forward to.

May is about consistency, enjoying movement, and building momentum again.

If you’re around Liverpool and fancy giving cani‑x a go with your dog, drop me a message.
