Well done to everyone who took part in our Festive Clobber Day and Bake Off in December - thanks to your generosity, your fundraising efforts and your cakes, you raised a staggering £16,591 for our charity partner, End Youth Homelessness (EYH).
This means that together we gave 663 homeless young people a merry little Christmas with a safe place to stay and a Christmas dinner.
On top of that you also bought a total of 482 Christmas gifts, which were shared between all 11 EYH member charities across the UK. With the help of the EYH Amazon wishlist, we bought a variety of gifts from books, gardening kits, toiletries, games, guitars and everything in between, worth a total gift value of £4,860!
One of those gifts went to a resident of Roundabout in Sheffield (pictured). He sent the following message to his rapid rehousing officer: "Really grateful for the presents! I wasn't expecting anything and I feel right spoilt."
His support worker said: "I think it makes a huge difference as a lot of my clients either don't have family or don't get on with them. They don't really get any presents from anyone. Christmas is a hard time as they think about other people who are spending time with loved ones and exchanging gifts, so it makes a huge difference for them to be able to open presents, makes them feel included in society and not forgotten about"
We received some fabulous festive photos from you across Group - with so many to look through it's a tight competition. We'll be announcing the winner very soon!
Once again #TeamKier took on a fundraising challenge and totally smashed it!
A big shout out to the top fundraising elves and the top fundraising team elves, with a special mention to Ian Addis and his team in Essex raising £437, and a big thank you to the Kier Top 200 Super Santas!
